The Village Preschool’s Opening Day

I just wanted to take a quick moment to comment on our opening day.

Today was fantastic! We had a small group of kids, which turned out to be perfect. We were able to get our bearings and figure out what was going to work and what wasn’t. The kids were all great.

One little girl had never been in preschool before and started off really sad. She cried for quite a while and just when I thought she might not sort things out for the day, James stepped in and gave her a great big hug and reassured her calmly. The next thing I knew she was outside playing in the sandbox and having a great time.

We managed to accomplish all of the activities we had hoped for including: baking muffins, pretend camping (in a tent), yoga, play dough, stories, and songs. We were pretty proud of ourselves at the end of the day and surprisingly energized.

I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.

By the way, I can’t say enough good things about the families that have enrolled with us thus far. Very cool people.
